Ghost Hunt and History Tour of the Schuylkill County Historical Society

The Historical Society of Schuylkill County was incorporated in 1903. The name has changed to the Schuylkill County Historical Society, but it is still the official historical society of the county. The purpose of the historical society is to discover, procure, and preserve the records of the history of Schuylkill County and any materials that may illustrate that history. The Society has a priceless collection of historical materials from Schuylkill County that is used by members, researchers, scholars, and the general public. The present location is in the historic Centre Street Grammar School which was constructed during the Civil War.

Join Wyoming Valley Ghost Tours at the Schuylkill County Historical Society to investigate the paranormal claims of this Historic and Beautiful Building!

Learn more about the history of the Centre Street Grammar School that was built in 1863, now the Schuylkill County Historical Society, before being led out to conduct your OWN paranormal investigation with all the necessary investigative equipment, no need to bring your own- all will be provided.  

Come out with the experienced investigators of Wyoming Valley Ghost Tours for this Unique New Event on, Saturday, September 30th @ 6:00 pm.  

All participants will receive the history of the building and a brief tutorial on several pieces of the most common paranormal investigative tools prior to being broken up into smaller groups.  YOU are conducting your own paranormal investigation of the building.  The experiences are not produced by WVGT or guides and experiences are NOT guaranteed.  There will be guides available to assist with questions throughout the event.  

*Hand Sanitizer will be provided, and all equipment will be sanitized before and after use.  

*Tickets MUST be purchased using the provided ticket link on the event page and will not be available for purchase at the event location.  Space for this event is limited.  

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the event beginning for check-in purposes.  

The minimum age for this event is 16 years of age with a parent or legal guardian (18 years of age or older) present.  

If you appear to be intoxicated, you will be asked to leave the event. 

This is an INDOOR walking tour that WILL require the use of stairs and walking throughout the building.   Please ensure that proper clothing and foot attire are worn.  You are encouraged, for your safety, to NOT wear the following shoes: sandals, high heels, open-toed shoes, or flip-flop-type sandals.
