There are small railroads that run steam locomotives with a high frequency of occurrences. There are large railroads that run steam on occasion. There are no railroads, however, like the Reading & Northern, who run steam power nearly year-round, who run steam power nearly year-round and over a vast network of lines.
This video takes a look at both locomotives that operate over R&N rails – 4-6-2 Pacific-type #425, and former Central Railroad of New Jersey 0-6-0 switcher #113. You see both locomotives run in a variety of seasons, with different consists and numerous locations.
